Scabiosa Stem

Scabiosa stellata, sold individually.

Also known as Starflower Pincushions, Scabiosa is native to Southwestern Europe and North Africa. The beautifully textured pod is formed by many small little rounded circles that create a rounded ball shape. Scabiosa pods are not technically a flower but rather the seed pod of the plant. The flowers are available year-round since the flower is a seed pod. 

Arrange a single stem or two, or cut and combine with our other Faux Stems.

Note that stems are flexible, and can be easily cut with strong, heavy-duty clippers.
