A basket with fresh tomatoes rests in the hot midday sun as sweet geraniums are gathered from the sparkling glasshouse. The air is refreshed by the gentle breeze, wafts of lime and eucalyptus cut through the heat. Seeking the cool shade, I wander out into the garden, the bird sings with joy as I recline in the dappled light dancing beneath the fragrant blooms of the neroli tree.
